I keep landing on beautiful websites that still leave me confused. Does anyone else notice this?

Hey folks, I run a small product-management startup — and weirdly enough, that’s pushed me deep into analyzing websites lately. Not just SaaS sites, but agency sites, portfolio sites, consultant sites… basically anywhere someone is trying to communicate what they do and why it matters.

I’ve noticed a pattern that keeps popping up.

A lot of sites look polished, but they don’t say anything.

The other day I landed on an agency’s homepage that talked about “next-gen intelligence,” “accelerated transformation,” and “data-powered insights.” All the right buzzwords. A fancy gradient background. Clean fonts. Lots of moving parts.

But after two minutes of scrolling, I still had no clue:
-what this agency actually built
*-*what I’d walk away with after working with them
-who they even wanted as clients
-or what the first step was if I wanted to hire them

It reminded me of when a friend of mine (early-stage founder) sent me their homepage asking for quick feedback… and I realized their site had the same issue. Great product, but the website read like a pitch deck trying to impress investors rather than a simple “here’s how we help you” for customers.

I’m not pointing fingers here- I’ve made this mistake too. When I launched my first landing page, I tried to cram every thought into it. It ended up sounding like a manifesto instead of something people could actually use.

So I’m curious:
If you could fix just one thing about your website design, clarity, speed, or messaging what’s been bothering you the most, and what would finally make a website service feel truly worth it to you?

No selling here, I just genuinely enjoy these conversations because they always reveal patterns founders don’t talk about publicly.

If you want feedback on your site, I’m happy to take a look. Sometimes an outside pair of eyes sees things we become blind to.
