Should you buy pinkwards when you or your team is behind?

Is it really wrong to buy pink wards while behind? Aside from my support, I always have the highest vision score and I buy a pink ward pretty much every recall.

Context: I saw this post on TikTok saying: “how can you tell someone is low elo?” And someone commented: “Buying pinks as non support while behind.”
