The fact that it worked somehow makes it worse

I tried that TikTok Slash and Free thing because everyone said it actually works.

I chose something useful a phone stand because I wanted to avoid getting something pointless.

After days of tapping the Slash and Free progress bar and sending awkward messages to people I barely talk to it finally reached one hundred percent.

Today the package arrived. The phone stand is fine. It works. It holds my phone well. And there is absolutely nothing wrong with it.

And somehow that makes it more annoying. After all that effort I expected excitement or at least a little “wow I did it.” Instead I just stared at it thinking

I really spent my time energy and social dignity for… this. So yes it is free. But emotionally it feels like getting a participation trophy.
