Revenant is still very useful

Hi there.

I am a duchess main, but I did play Revenant enough times in DoN 4.

I usually run Revenant against Augur, sometimes against Fulghor/Heolstor and I honestly consider her the best nightfarer against non ED Augur.

The reason why Revenant got a sneaky "buff" this patch is that Lightning Spear is now an available spell you can get the moment the game starts. You do not run Hoarfrost Stomp anymore, or just don't need to, as your starting seal now has both Lightning Spear and Heal. Your Dragon Cult incantation build is online the moment you get into the game, and your only real weakness is the FP consumption early on. You do not have to look for any seal. Your starting weapon is already what's needed to complete the run. Focus on Lightning, Incantation, Charged Incantation % and Spell Speed Cast. It is that easy.

Your summons take aggro. Your ultimate makes your teammates and summons unkillable. You can completely ignore certain status effects while your ult is running. If you are lucky with relics, you may even buff your allies or do more damage than half the ults in this game in addition to running 5-6 Dragon Cult relics.

Undertaker is NOT your competitor for incant based builds. She needs to setup relics (Dormant Power, +FTH -STR) in order for her to be able to, and she would also need to look for a good seal, and that is complicated in comparison to looking for Staves in this game. You should feel bad for Raider, not Revenant.

Does Revenant compare to the new Nightfarers (BUSTED), Duchess, Recluse or Ironeye? No. She is somewhere in the middle, better than the bottom, and below the people at the top. Her low health pool barely matters in DoN, because you know, no one is safe.

PS: This is based solely on my opinion. I do not have numbers to backup my claims, but I do believe I have some experience with the game. I tried to give every nightfarer a chance, and I do think there's some misconception around Revenant.
