My laptop won’t turn on, but the charger light does?

Basically as the title says, my Lenovo laptop won’t turn on but the charger lighter will whenever it’s plugged in. I tried to unscrew the bottom because google was suggesting trying to get at the battery but I can’t get the bottom out after I unscrew everything. Would appreciate any advice as I want to try gaming with my PC friends!
