I’m a 21M. I was in a relationship for 2 years. It was actually good. We were happy, people around us liked us as a couple. We had fights like any normal relationship, and I had anger issues back then. I even went to therapy to improve myself for the relationship.

Still, she gave up on me for reasons that didn’t even feel solid. That breakup messed me up badly. I was at a point where I didn’t even want to live anymore. It took a lot of time and struggle to come out of that.

After that, I talked to a few people. Nothing worked out.

Then about a month ago, I met this girl. We talked all day and night. Got close. Had deep, normal conversations. No wrong stuff. We both started liking each other. She even insisted on getting into a relationship, but I said we should take it slow. She agreed.

Now her parents found out that we were talking a lot and told her not to talk to me. And she decided to leave too.

So now I’m honestly questioning everything. Are humans really worth all this effort?

All I want is one person I can be open with, be vulnerable with, and trust. But every time I start to trust someone, it just ends.

I’ve also never seen any couple around me stay truly happy after a year of marriage. That makes me wonder if all this even works in real life.

Is it actually possible to live alone even when you constantly want someone?

Right now I just feel tired, heavy, and like I’m losing hope in people.

Are people really worth all the efforts?
