Areas to consider buying in London

I'm 39f, single income. Have ~60k saved for a deposit and I am looking for (ideally) 2-bed properties between 350-450k in about 12-16 months when I've built up my emergency savings up a bit.

I have only ever lived in North/East London (Crouch end, Walthamstow, Dalston, Stoke N.) and I want to live somewhere that feels safe with some nice shops, cafes, things nearby so I don't need to always travel out. I'm looking at Leyton/Leytonstone sort of area but does anyone have recommendations for areas to check out in South or West?
