My land lord refuses to lower the heat on my radiator, can I sue?

Location: illinois. I tend to get hot easily, im sweating in my room, and im a light sleeper so opening the windows is not an option due to how loud my area is. I tried putting layers of blankets over the radiators and its still too hot, I have spent countless nights unable to sleep.
