Does this come off as flirting?

Okay so… me and this boy have a long history together.

We’ve known each other since we were five from school. We became close friends as kids and when we were in year three we even dated (you know… dumb kiddy relationships).

It’s crazy because when we were seven we carved it names into this tree at school with a heart around it (it’s still there and very clear after all these years haha).

Then we drifted apart… but in year 7-8, we started getting close again and caught feelings once more and dated AGAIN. But we did end up breaking up in the same year because I was stupid and jokingly flirted with his friends while he was in the hospital.

Now I’m in year 11. We have each other followed on socials and stuff but we don’t talk much, if at all.

But… I still really feel kind of connected to him? And I think I do feel a little bit of a crush on him still.

I guess what brought him up in my mind again was that he liked the song I put on my Instagram note today… and it really hit because that song I associated EXACTLY with him because I knew that was his style in music.

I’ve also been posting a lot on my story about FNaF because of the movie, and that was a core shared interest of ours since we were kids, and he’s been liking those too.

He’s just been popping up in my head. So… I made a really subtle move and liked a selfie he put of himself on his story. Do you think he’d take that as flirting? Is that straight forward enough?

I want to reconnect with him… how can I do that?
