Which roth ira provider is the best for someone just starting out?

I'm 26 and finally ready to open my first Roth IRA after putting it off for way too long. I have about $3,000 saved up that I want to invest, and I can probably contribute another $200-300 each month going forward. My main goal is just steady long term growth without needing to babysit it constantly. I've looked at Vanguard and Fidelity websites but honestly got a bit overwhelmed with all the account types and fund options they show.

Do you actually need a minimum amount to start with most providers, or can you begin with whatever you have? Also, how much does it matter which one you pick if you're planning to just put money into index funds and leave it alone? Would really appreciate hearing what worked well for people in a similar situation.
