Free Parking for Indianapolis Colts v Seattle Seahawks at Lumen Field (Seattle 12/14)

hey everyone, figured i'd share some parking advice for the colts game on sunday since it's always a mess down there.

since the game is on a sunday street parking is actually free all day. if you get there super early you might be able to find a spot on the street south of the stadium on 1st ave or some of the side streets in sodo. honestly it's a bit of a walk and these spots get taken fast, you really have to be there hours before kickoff to have a shot. just make sure you read the signs carefully so you dont get a ticket.

i've also been using this app called prked. it lets you rent peoples driveways or private garages right next to lumen field for the game. it's way cheaper than the official lots and you can get a spot thats just a short walk away. the best part is you skip a lot of the traffic chaos trying to get into the big garages.

if you want to go the official route, the lumen field north lot and the garage right at the stadium are options but they are usually sold out to season ticket holders and pretty expensive if you can get a spot. expect to pay at least $40 or more at the big garages nearby like the mariners garage or union station. my advice is if you're going to pay for a garage, use an app like spothero to book it ahead of time, it can save you some money and guarantees you have a spot waiting.

honestly, driving and parking is a nightmare on game days. the traffic is horrible getting in and even worse getting out. if you can, the best way to get to the game is the link light rail. you can park for free at one of the park and ride stations like angle lake or northgate and just take the train in. it drops you off a short walk from the stadium and you dont have to deal with the traffic headaches at all. buses also work but they get really packed and often get stuck in the same traffic as cars.

whatever you do, get there early, have a plan, and be patient.
