Expanding the game

Recently I saw a map of every country in the world, labeled by which major American sports league it watched the most. Obviously the NHL was represented in places like Canada, Russia, Finland, Sweden, and Czechia, but it also had a few places I hadn't really expected, like some of the Caucasus states and even Tajikistan.

That sort of got me thinking. It made me think of Kazakhstan's fan-favourite appearance at the world juniors a few years ago, of people like Draisaitl and Hischier carrying the torch for their countries. As a Flames fan, it made me think of Sharangovich looking on pace to end up with the most points by any Belarusian.

Does anyone know of any prospects coming out of places like the Baltic or Caucasus or central Asian countries, or have any predictions for countries that might have a breakout star? Doesn't have to be those specific regions. Could be cool to see Norway have a top guy to compete with Finland and Sweden, or even an Icelandic or Danish option.
