Just because you THINK you understand the lore, doesnt mean you ACTUALLY do. Theory is not fact. - A fnaf 2 movie discussion

Hey y'all!!! First time making a post here, so, yay for me!

Anyways, im here now today to talk about the Fnaf 2 movie, who would have guessed. As the title states, just because we think we understand the lore, that doesnt mean we actually do. I feel as though the community has been taking Fnaf theories as fact instead of speculation. Its quite literally in the name, THEORIES. Theories are not fact until they are PROVEN to be fact, and unless proven, they are assumptions based on current evidence.

One of the biggest complaints I've heard was people wondering why Michael Afton is a bad guy. And to that, I say, "Haven't you been paying attention?". I believe in one of the security logbooks or in one of the encyclopedias, a "fun fazfact" (or something along those lines) gives an implication that someone wink wink, (Michael afton) was burning down pizzerias for some reason. I believe this was talking about the fnaf 3 phantoms and why they have a burned appearance. To my knowledge, this lore implication was widely ignored due to the fact of it "not making sense" since "Michael was always against his father" and the fact that not many people collect all of the encyclopedias or log books making this less known. We'll, I feel as though this goes to show that the lore hints were always there, we just simply didnt understand them. The games try to tell us the relationship between Michael and his father, but at the end of the day, we have absolutely no idea the relationship between the two, we can only speculate on what's given to us. Scott could have also specifically given us only certain parts of their relationship to dupe us as well. We have no idea. Scott pulls all the strings.

The second topic that has had a lot of complaint is how Charlie has been treated in this movie. And to be completely honest, its due to a bias we have. For some reason we have believed that the puppet is some benevolent being that can do no bad and even the words of Henry could imply so but do we REALLY know how the puppet acted? We only know that the puppet gave the missing 5 children the gifts of bodies and thats it. Either than that (as far as im aware) we have no idea how the puppet acted. Either than the cutscenes in fnaf 2 i believe where the puppet is creepily following the animateonics. I personally dont think that a child who was bullied ,kicked out and abandoned outside a pizzeria(?) In the cold rain then killed by someone they trusted (im assuming she knew who afton was since Henry and Him seemed to be close), would be the happy go around ghost that y'all believe she would be. Also, Henry has to literally make lefty to capture her, and i dont think lefty was too nice about that. If the puppet was truly as rational as we think she was, i think b Henry would have found a... "nicer" solution to getting her to the pizzeria. As I've as stated over and over, we truly dont know what the puppet was like. The only thing we can definitively say is that the puppet liked children and thats it. Either than that theyre a blank slate.

The last complaint I've been hearing is how the toy and withered animatronics have been treated. And to this complaint, i honestly didn't understand the toys and the withereds due to the fact that they didnt seem to be haunted to me. We know afton had MANY victims, not just the original five but we never had confirmation (as far as im aware) that Afton stuffed more of his victims into suits. And because of that, always wondered why they were aggressive and with the movie, we were given an answer. The puppet has become puppeteer. Although I agree with the sentinement thwt the witherds should have been used more or more creatively, these animations kinda had nothing behind them like the originals which had the possessed children.
