Worst reading room!

Rant

So today I’ve been to the ICAI reading room in Basavangudi branch in Bangalore. Almost half of the students who came there were either coughing or sneezing continuously. And on top of that, they closed all the windows and didn’t turn on fans. There’s a small balcony and that door was also closed. Not even kidding, there would’ve been atleast 5-6° difference in the room temperature as compared to outside (today wasn’t cold either, it was sunny in Bangalore). I tried opening the windows and even switching on the fan, but all of them just denied me stating that it’s cold and closed it again. I got a severe headache due to the heat and I left immediately. I tried raising the issue with the lady sitting outside, and they said they are helpless in this situation as well.

There are some points I’d like to raise:

  1. Why would you even come to the reading room when you’re sick? Can’t you just sit at home/room and study? Why do you want to spread your illness to others?

  2. Even if you came to the reading room, don’t you have basic common sense that if you keep the windows closed and people cough continuously, it’s more dangerous? Don’t you have basic common sense to breathe fresh air?

  3. Why is the management helpless? Can’t they be strict to send home ill students or atleast instruct to turn on fans and open windows?

Anyways, I’m done with this nonsense. I decided not to go there anymore, nor suggest anyone to go there as well. Also, I’d like to raise this issue with ICAI. Where can I file my complaint online? I know they won’t care about it, yet I wish to raise a complaint.
