[Oregon] accepted offer for seasonal work, start date has been delayed weeks, did I just screw myself

[Oregon] Question

TLDR: I know that, technically, refusing an offer can render a person ineligible, but is there a way to refuse the offer before I start that won’t screw me?

I’d already been on seasonal unemployment for a few weeks when I accepted a seasonal position in late November with the knowledge that they’re laying everyone off January 5.

I already had plans for travel (non refundable tickets etc etc) that fall slightly before then, so my plan was to quit before leaving, knowing that I’d sacrifice the prospect of getting back on my seasonal unemployment - but the money was better enough than my benefit to be the right choice.

The problem is that my start date was delayed weeks. After waiting, I’ve finally heard an official start date of this weekend, which would only give me a week of work before needing to quit, rendering me ineligible.

So here’s the question: would me refusing this work somehow get back to unemployment and render me ineligible anyway, or can I stop this process before it starts by saying that due to the delays it isn’t working for me?
