Heat pump location advice

Hello,

I have a 20 year old heat pump that needs replacing in my 2nd floor/top floor condo. Considering between an 8k or a 12k head to replace the current unit. Also thinking of adding a second unit in the master bedroom. Do you think its enough? Should we go all out and get a third head for the guest bedroom/office? There is a fan in the hallway that could help circulate the air, but it was pretty hot last summer with the single head unit.
