Sometimes you think about texting someone after years, and they text you first. Life’s funny like that.

Yesterday, an anon asked for our most embarrassing moments. I shared one from college and suddenly remembered her. We hadn’t talked in years, life just got busy for both of us.

I smiled at the memory and thought, “I should text her sometime.”
Was planning to do it after dinner… and then my phone buzzed. It was her, with the cutest Genshin × Duolingo ad that reminded her of me

She’s moved back to the city. We talked as if no time had passed, and now we’re planning to meet up soon to catch up properly.

Some friendships wait patiently for the right moment to come back home. Grateful for this one.
