How to find agencies (remote or in-person)?

I'm a career switcher out of education-- I have freelance and internship experience, but many people have told me point-blank if I don't have agency experience I won't be considered for in-house positions.

The issue is that I can't seem to find any agencies, in person near me (Bay Area, CA) or remote that are hiring. I apply to tons of jobs on LinkedIn and Indeed, and even reached out to every agency near me I could find to see if they're taking on any entry-level marketers.

Are there any databases or other platforms to find marketing/PR agencies besides just Googling? I'm also open to fully remote agencies, not quite sure how to find those either.

Thanks so much!
