Who else feels like they’re wasting their life in slow motion
Some days it feels like I wake up already tired of being myself. I open my eyes and there’s this heaviness that hasn’t moved for months the kind that sits in your chest like a weight. I lie there staring at the ceiling, not because I’m lazy, it’s this numb, dull fog . I get out of bed late, moving slowly, I tell myself I’ll do something today, anything, but the day ends the same way it begins with me stuck in my own head.
Most of the time I just Procastinate . Hours pass and I don’t even know where they went. I stare at my phone, Laptop staring at lives that look nothing like mine, and it just makes me sink a little deeper. No messages, no calls, no distractions. Just silence and my mind looping the same thoughts again and again. I stay depressed the whole day without even wanting to be like the mood chooses me, not the other way around. And in the middle of all that, the loneliness hits hard. Not the kind where you miss people the kind where you don’t even feel like you deserve them. Zero connection, zero motivation, zero spark. It’s like watching my life through a dirty window
And the messed-up part is how normal it starts to feel. You get so used to being low that you forget what “okay” even looks like. You start pretending smiling in public, joking with friends, acting like you’re fine but inside you’re carrying this quiet storm that no one sees. And you don’t talk about it because you feel like people wouldn’t get it, or worse, wouldn’t care. I’m not writing this to get sympathy. I’m writing it because I need to know if I’m the only one living like this stuck in the same cycle, tired of my own thoughts, trying to find a way out without even knowing where to start. If any of this feels familiar, just say something. Sometimes knowing someone else understands is the one thing that makes the day feel a little less heavy
The part that wants to get up, break the cycle, rebuild, sharpen, rise. Not in a soft-healing way, but in a**“tear yourself down and build yourself back from the bones”** kind of way. I don’t want to be the only one waking up from this bullshit. If you feel this too if you’re tired of drifting through life like a ghost : say something. Let’s make something like a crew, a brotherhood, whatever you want to call it… a place where men who are sick of their own excuses start fighting back and becoming something better. Not for validation. Not for attention. But because we’re done being weaker versions of ourselves.
