Hey, I need advice quickly.

Theres a boy I used to date (Not anymore after incident). I want the boy to switch his classes and told the counselors even the principals, but they told me that he had an important elective. I was very disappointed which every time if it's a specific day, I'll have to see him and I'll dread. I can't get into class without being weirded out by his presence. I wish I can forget, the teacher from the class was very understanding and nice towards me. should I tell the guidance office at the morning to switch my classes after 1st semester? I need to know.
