There’s a direct line drawn by the folks that embraced auto-tuned “singers” from 15-20 years ago to today’s computer generated music slop.

A lot of music today is not being made by actual musicians, it’s being made by wannabes cosplaying as artist. This is hardly distinguishable from people who couldn’t sing 15-20 years ago using auto tune to make their voices more bearable.
