Infernalist 0.4 build ideas

Infernalist’s Demon Form looks cool as hell to me and I’m thinking about league starting it in 0.4

My first PoE2 character was in 0.3 - a Blood Mage chaos Fireball build. I made it to level 94. I feel like I understand the basics now, but I’m definitely not super knowledgeable about the other ascendancies or how they actually scale.

I’ve tried digging through posts but everything feels mixed. Some people say Infernalist is terrible, others say it’s fine if you build around it, and the patch notes didn’t really give me a clear answer. With the fire/ignite changes and Demon Form counting as a shapeshift, I’m wondering if there’s any synergy I’m missing or if certain passive tree nodes make it more viable than people think.

If anyone has played Infernalist in 0.3 and compared it to 0.4 patch notes I would appreciate your feedback to see if there would be any more or has ideas for spell-caster Infernalist setups, I’d love to hear how it actually feels to play!
