New Players: Is Throne and Freedom worth playing?

I was invited to play by some friends who have been playing TnL for a few months, but lately I've been getting random Reddit posts from people complaining that the game is dead, that the content gets monotonous after a certain level. Honestly, I've always been someone who doesn't like to waste time if a game is fading away due to low player numbers, regardless of whether I have friends there. I like progress, and the idea that if I quit one day, I can always come back later and pick up where I left off.

These past few days, while I was leveling, they were having trouble finding tanks or healers by doing dungeons. As wonderful as the game looks and appeals to me, waiting isn't something I enjoy in a game.

This is just my personal opinion; some people might wait a reasonable amount of time to form dungeon groups, but that's not me.

Likewise, I'm open to feedback and perspectives from both new players and veterans with solid opinions.
