Can someone explain why my pallets never drop????

I will press it at the correct time, not moving, not sprinting, is it really that the killer is "too in the center" EVERY TIME????? BRO I PLAY KILLER AND I GET STUNNED WHETHER IM IN THE MID OF THE PALLET OR NOT. Is this genuinely an internet or framerate thing??
