A question regarding shoutout

Hello everyone, fledgling author here. I have a question regarding shoutouts, i want to know, how do i approach for one ? My current story, is about a Sci fi, mystery thriller and most post in RR are isekai and fantasy. The authors from my genre are either huge or no names.

What i want to know is how should i ask for a shoutout without being seen as a door to door sales man kind of guy. I jsed the search bar in reddit on this topic but most post are kind of vague and im also part of the RRWG discord but no body has yet to respond for my shout out request.

If anyone can point me where i should start with i would extremely thankful.
