Please treat your wife well.

Your children...especially your daughters...grow up watching how you treat a woman. And when it’s our turn to think about marriage, we either hope to find a man who is kind like you… or we fear becoming like our mother and start to resent the idea of getting married at all.

When we’re little, we see your wife only as our mother. But as we grow up, we understand she is also a woman with feelings, needs, dreams, and dignity.

So treat her with respect, love, and patience. Otherwise, be prepared for one of the biggest heartbreaks of your life: when your daughter grows up and no longer looks at you with admiration, but with disappointment.
