Controversial question about Paul

What’s up y’all. I have a bunch of questions about Paul and I’m sure they’ve been asked before but I can’t find good threads speaking on this. Paul speaks a lot about church and he spreads the gospel throughout all his books. I often wonder how do we know FOR SURE that Jesus appointed Paul for the mission of spreading the gospel? He claims that Jesus appeared to him in a blinding light. But while Jesus was in human form, Paul never walked with Jesus like his disciples did. How do we know that the blinding light was Jesus and not something else? I have more questions but I’ll just start with this one. I just feel like a lot of Paul’s claims regarding his conversations with God are more of a “ take my word for it “ type of thing where as individuals like Peter actually walked with Jesus and documented his actual words. I know this is a sensitive topic for many but I’m not here to cause any malice I’m just here to ask questions about things that never settled right with me.
