Sims 4 how to continue on after anadius?

I was an avid user anadius updater and now that he’s permanently retired I am hopeful the sims community has the answers I need.

I have all of the files downloaded for the packs I want, I honestly don’t see myself wanting any other packs or expansions but I need a way to keep my current files up to dare or do I? If I don’t plan on pirating any other packs then do I really need to do anything? These files are all on an external drive so I could theoretically transfer the files onto any new devices and I’d have no reason to ever delete them but I’m a little uneducated on this sorta thing so I’m not sure how it works. I have the DLC unlocker that seems to still be functional.
