Hey NRC fam 👟
I’ve officially logged over 500km of running this year using the Nike Run Club app — and while that number means a lot, it doesn’t tell the whole story.
🗓️ The context:
Had my baby early Feb 2025 💛
Currently running ~2.5 times/week, averaging 3.9km/run
Total logged: 502.7 km across 126 runs
Also averaging 6.2 km/day tracked by Apple Watch (incl. walking + unlogged recovery runs)
Truth is, I’ve run way more than NRC shows — I’ve just chosen not to log every slow or gentle one. Sometimes it was just about movement, not metrics.

💥 The progress:
My fastest runs were all in 2024 (pre-baby), including:
Fastest 1K: 4:13
Fastest 5K: 24:50
Longest run: 15km (1h25m)

But in 2025? It’s been about consistency, not chasing pace.
Some runs were 2K jogs with a pram. Others were short bursts between naps or dinner. No medals — just small wins stacked up.

🙌 Why I'm posting:
Because postpartum running is real. The mental load, the fatigue, the unpredictability — but also the resilience.
If you're coming back from anything — birth, burnout, or just life — please know that the slow runs, the short runs, and even the walks matter.
You’re not behind. You’re rebuilding.
One run at a time.
