aight so i was trying to buy some kuota on the red provider's app (MyT\*\*l) and there was this ad for 10 gbs of free kuota and i was like sure and this was like kinda early in the morning so i was still kinda sleepy and not really fully paying attention

so the ad led me to some kind of website and it asked for an OTP after offering free kuota and i was like wait this feels like some kind of scam so i read the T&Cs and guess what it was a rort (im gonna call it a rort instead of a scam as im guessing this is technically legal)

so i googled it and found that this was some sort of "kupon jajan"/"pulsa coin" rort and the T&Cs also said they'd charge like 2200 for every text message they send, which might not sound like much but it adds up

yes it's in the actual T&Cs but you literally have to open another link to read the T&Cs and the fact that you have to pay for this shit isn't really advertised. Where tf is fair trading? I knew consumer rights don't really exist in Konoha but this is just egregiously bad

too make things worse i also found a literal tweet from their official twitter account promoting this shit (i censored the tweet but feel free to google it yourself if you dont trust me)

their literally shameless about this rort

and this is from a government-owned company. honestly idek how this is legal but apparently every single one of them does it?

and the ad was literally on the official app, if it were on some random app or some random text message I would never have fallen for it but on the official app really?

honestly if it werent for the OTP they probably wouldve been able to get me to pay for this bs

anyways PSA if you see this kinda ad DO NOT fall for it

PSA: Kuota Gratis Rort
