Weight loss after diagnosis

The tumor was discovered (incident finding) in mid October. Surgery is in 5 days. Since mid October, my husband has lost around 3 kg. He doesn’t have any fatigue or loss of appetite, but the weight loss seems a lot , without trying. The scans are clear so apparently it’s a localized tumor. Did anyone else face weight loss? Is it usual? Should we be worried?
