When you're having a not-that-serious debate, but someone still does that thing where they break down everything you say, quoting sentence-by-sentence, to try and discredit every word you say.

Bit Annoyed

You could say something as simple as:

"Oh it was a bit cloudy today. Cold, too. I miss the blue skies during the summer."

And someone will respond with a longwinded rebuttal like:

"Oh it was a bit cloudy today.

Actually ,that's highly dependent on where you live. In fact the skies over me had barely a cloud. Furthermore, do you even understand how clouds work and how selfish this comes across?

Cold, too.

The concept of "cold" is, in an of itself, quite subjective. I'd probably argue you're confusing crisp coolness with overt coldness.

Here's a study about the nature of cold weather: [LINK]

I miss the blue skies during the summer.

Pfft! What a meaningless statement. Color is merely your perception of stimuli. A "blue sky" isn't real. I'd wish an adult like you would know this, but I guess I suspected too much."

Etc.

Like, ok... you're condescending and have nothing better to do. I don't think that's the flex you think it is We're talking about shitty weather, not having a philosophical debate.
