College help!

I have been having a dilemma. I have been thinking about colleges recently, and the cost of college is really freaking me out. I am applying under a prevet/animal science major, and I plan on going to vet school after (if I make it in lol). I applied to a smaller in-state school, and they told me up front that they have only gotten 4 kids into vet school in the past 2 years, which is not that great. It feels like my options are either go to a really expensive school that gives me more of an opportunity to go to vet school, or go to the cheap option that would save me money in the very, VERY slim chance I do get in. Also, I understand that vet school is hard to get into no matter what, but I would just like to save a bit of money.
