Luis Enrique was right
Honestly, I’m starting to think Luis Enrique might’ve been right about Mbappé, and it’s weird because at the time everyone laughed at him. When he said PSG were “better in attack and defence” without Mbappé, people thought he was just salty or trying to cope after losing a superstar. But looking at what’s happening now, especially with Real Madrid, it actually makes sense.
The point Enrique was making wasn’t “Mbappé is bad” nobody believes that. Mbappé is world-class and can score out of nowhere. But the team sometimes becomes worse when everything revolves around one guy. At PSG, the moment he left, they suddenly played like an actual unit. No more forcing everything through one superstar. No more weird imbalances. The attack looked smoother, they defended better, and overall the team just clicked.
Now fast-forward to Real Madrid, and you’re kinda seeing the same story. Mbappé has had good moments, sure, but the team as a whole looks off. The chemistry between him and Vinícius still feels forced. The attack feels disjointed. The whole “superteam” vibe hasn’t really worked yet. It’s like they’re trying to fit two players into the same spaces, and the rest of the team has to adjust around that.
And it’s not even Mbappé’s fault it’s just what happens when you build everything around one superstar. Sometimes you lose balance. Sometimes the team plays worse even if the player is amazing individually. So yeah, I’m kinda starting to see what Enrique meant. PSG actually improved without him
