Looking for a durable adventure/hybrid bike.

I'm looking for a hyper durable adventure bike frame. I've been using a trek 4300 for this for years and it hasn't failed me yet but I wanted to upgrade. Ive broken and bent bike frames in the middle without 100lbs of gear and i don't really trust the bikes im looking at to take the abuse as the whole reason I would even get a riged tour bike would be durability. any ideas? Like the salsa journeyer has butted tubing around the downtube and is only 22lbs, that sounds far less durable than what I want.
