December trip to AZ

I did my own research on here and other places, and this is the itinerary i came up with for me and my buddy the 15-22 of December.

We get in Monday the 15th (Mesa gateway) and will be staying at my parents about 15 min from there.

Tuesday - Sidewinder (I've never played) Wednesday - Dinosaur (played once) Friday - Dove valley ranch Sunday - Ak-Chin Southern Dunes

I did see that gold canyon is cart path only due to overseeding. How annoying is that going to make the round? I really want my buddy to play Dinosaur, but if that's going to mess with the experience, I'd probably schedule something else.

Would consider Las Sendas as the Dinosaur replacement, and maybe Longbow as the Sidewinder sub.

Considering We-Ko-Pa, but don't really want to drive an hour each day we play.

Any thoughts on the cart path only or similar aesthetic/price options for the gold canyon courses is appreciated!

FWIW, I'm an 8 hdcp (i am pretty long of the tee but very erratic), my buddy is around a 17hdcp (short, pretty straight hitter) and my dad is around a 12 (he's 75 though).
