Holiday Gift Drive for Rice Education Center

Hello neighbors! I saw a link to this PTA Pep project in an email from my school's PTA and wanted to post it here in case anyone is looking for a way to spread some holiday cheer at the end of a tough year:

The PTA Equity Project is hosting a Holiday Gift Drive for the Rice Education Center, (1101 Washington St, Evanston), a District 65 school that educates our most vulnerable students. Rice Center serves students aged 6-15, many of whom are in care of the State and live onsite.  The students have many basic needs that need to be met on a consistent basis, in addition to "wants" for the holiday season. Our goal is to ensure that every student has a new pair of shoes this year, as well as clothes, and a fun holiday gift. We are also including the staff at the Rice Center, as they work very hard and often don't get recognition because the school doesn't have a PTA.

New, unwrapped gifts can be dropped off by Sunday, Dec 14th.  Please clearly label your items with the student's or staff's # number so we can make sure they get to the right person.  We also encourage you to drop off gift bags for the gifts. While we have listed gender on the sign up selections, please feel free to purchase gender neutral gifts.
