Can someone explain the difference between super slinky 8-38 and cobalt slinky 8-38, and literally every other string gauge

Im trying to replace the original strings on my fender affinity series strat, and please recommend some guitar picks, something that won't wear out to fast, has a sharp and tip and is good for fast play
