Avoid Almighty Movers LLC in Medford – Sharing my experience to protect others (everything stated is documented)

I’m sharing this only to protect anyone in Southern Oregon who is planning a move. Everything I describe here is fully documented through texts, emails, timelines, and the written contract. I’m not looking for anything — I just don’t want another family to go through what we did.

We hired Almighty Movers LLC in Medford for a confirmed move on November 22, 2025. The owner, Justin, personally confirmed a 4-man crew the night before at 4:50 p.m. He also knew — based on my earlier communication — that we had only three days to move out after closing on our home and absolutely had to be out that Saturday.

One hour before arrival, he sent a text saying the move would need to be postponed until Sunday, adding:

“hope that’s okay.”

It wasn’t okay — Sunday would have violated our closing timeline — and he already knew that. I immediately called him, but he didn’t answer. He sent one short reply saying he was “on it” and trying to find a smaller crew… and then never contacted us again. No movers ever arrived.

To make it worse, the company’s own Terms & Conditions state that if I had canceled with one hour’s notice, I would have been charged for the full move. Yet when they canceled with one hour’s notice, they took no responsibility and offered no solution.

Because this happened at the last possible moment — and because no other company was available that late — my husband and I had to complete the entire move ourselves. This included packing, hauling, loading, unloading, and garage/outdoor items. It was roughly 36 hours of professional labor that we had to take on in a single day.

I have lupus, and the physical strain triggered a severe flare. I missed work on Monday and lost wages. The move caused significant physical and emotional stress — and we had hired movers specifically because of my health condition.

I emailed the owner a detailed summary on November 25 and offered 14 days for a reasonable conversation. I never received a response.

Afterward, I looked up the business with the Oregon Department of Justice and discovered that this is not their first complaint.

Because of the severity of what happened, I have filed complaints with: • Oregon DOJ • Oregon Department of Transportation (Household Goods Movers Enforcement) • FMCSA • BBB

Again — I’m not posting this out of anger. I’m posting it because this situation could be devastating for: • Elderly clients • Single parents • People without local support • Anyone with medical limitations • Anyone tied to a strict real estate closing timeline

I don’t want another family to be stranded on moving day the way we were.

If anyone wants to see proof for their own peace of mind before hiring a mover, I am willing to privately share documentation to verify everything I’ve said.

Please be careful when choosing a moving company in the Medford area.
