Do you think Madam Yu really intended to-

cut off WWX’s arm? I don’t know if this topic has been discussed here before, so I’ll bring it up.

In the novel, Wang Lingjiao demands Madam Yu to cut off Wei Wuxian’s right arm, and she “seemed to be considering it”. She then asks her handmaids to shut the door. Wang Lingjiao then mentions the Overwatch Office and pisses Madam Yu off to the point she starts fighting the Wens. The narrator does not give us much info on what was going on inside her head, as we mostly see things from Wei Wuxian’s perspective. Thus, Madam Yu’s true intentions are up to interpretation.

Do you think she was really going to cut off his arm, or that she already intended to fight the Wens when she ordered the door to be closed? I really wanna know y’all’s opinions on this!
