Any advice for starting screenwriters?

Hello!

Just trying my luck here. I just got accepted as a brainstormer for ABS-CBN for TV production. Honestly, I didn’t thought I’ll get in because their process were long and rigorous. For context I have been trying my luck to break into the film industry for a while now. I started doing short films and got into several workshops and film labs. But the chance to make something and actually produce the concepts we’re quiet hard financially and emotionally. So I need to get a full time job to support my passion for filmmaking.

I’m thinking I really want to pursue this career of writing for TV but I also heard a lot of horror stories from other creatives. I’m just wondering are there any TV writers who are active on this thread and maybe can I ask for some advice or tips that I could use to navigate this new path. And also, is this the best track for those who want to direct or make films in the future?
