hi!! to give a little extra context i got my ears pierced january 23rd of this year at the same place i got my septum done awhile before that (healed perfectly and has had no problems) and yes i know the backings are different, last week one fell down the sink drain while i was cleaning everything up because im an idiot and didnt cover it💔 currently using a rubber one from one of my moms kate spade earrings lmao

this was the third time getting my ears pierced, not counting the one time i got a piercing kit off amazon and pierced one side in way too big of a gauge and almost passed out. the two times before this were done at claires unfortunately and all three times my ears rejected the earrings. first time pierced i had silver earrings, second time pierced i had 24k gold, and that one time at home i had stainless steel. my piercer decided to go with titanium for my ears this time since thats what we did for my septum and i had no problems. since getting my ears pierced i have had nothing but problems, i clean them regularly (my piercer is pretty oldschool and recommended using a specific mouthwash or dial soap but i used a mix of wound spray/bactine and saline spray since i knew with my skin being sensitive plus the rejections i had before i wanted to play it safer lol), sleep on my back most of the time to not irritate them, and i dont touch them at all unless im cleaning them. i just dont know what to do. atleast once every other month they will hurt like crazy and the handful of times ive taken the earrings out over the past 6ish months to really clean them it caused them to bleed and putting them back in was painful and felt like i had to search for the hole out. i would love any advice from people with similar situations or even advice from people who have no trouble healing at all💔 im just lost on what to do and dont know if i should just take them out and give up on having earrings (heartbreaking since i really wanted to size them up in the future but that obviously cant happen if they wont heal in the first place)


tldr : my ears just wont heal, should i give up or is there something i can do
