IRCC reused my expired medical exam for my study permit. Will this cause issues at the border?

TL;DR: My study permit was approved (I already have a POE letter), but IRCC reused an old medical that “expired” in Apr 2025. I’m currently in Canada as a tourist and need to leave and re-enter to activate the study permit. Since my previous medical, I’ve left Canada and spent 6+ months in countries that normally require a medical. Could CBSA raise an issue when I re-enter?

Long Version:

I applied for a new study permit last November and uploaded the medical request form, but IRCC marked my medical as completed without asking for a new exam. They reused my old medical result from a previous visitor record application, even though that one already expired in April 2025.

I’m assuming I’m covered by the temporary medical exam validity extension since I’m already inside Canada as a tourist when I applied (even though my application was submitted as “from outside Canada” because I wasn’t eligible for an inland application), but I’m still not totally sure. After that old medical, I've left Canada and stayed in countries that would normally require a medical for more than six months, so I’m wondering if that might cause issues.

Will this affect anything when I re-enter Canada to activate my study permit? My POE letter shows the April 2025 expiry of the reused medical.
