Mini Poodle Kibble Suggestions

I have a 5-year-old mini poodle who was expected to be toy-sized but ended up a bit bigger… about 13”- 14” at the withers and 14 lbs. I’m trying to find the ideal kibble for him.

He used Hill’s Small Paws for the most part, and later Small Paws Light. He ate very regularly on the Small Paws Light formula, and it worked well for years. Eventually, though, he started licking his paws more frequently, which is what made me consider switching his food.

He’s now on Wellness Complete Health Small Breed in the Turkey recipe. The recommended portion for his weight seems a bit high and has made his feeding routine less consistent. I’ve also noticed an increase in tear stains, though the paw-licking has stopped since switching off the Hill’s chicken recipe.

Does anyone have kibble suggestions that works well for your smaller mini poodles? Thanks for any feedback!!
