Upgrade process

Haven’t flown Qatar in a while and was curious about upgrades. In Emirates, depending on availability, they offer promotional upgrades 3-4 days before departure to business class. Typically around the $1300 price range from IAH to DXB. Was curious if Qatar does something similar? Any thing else to consider? Thanks.
