It's been sixteen days...

Guys....it has been 16 days since I beat Alan Wake 2 and it has quite literally consumed my mind.

I don't know if any of you remember my posts or not, you can see it in my past posts on my account page, but basically as I was playing Alan Wake 2 for the first time ever I was kind of documenting my playthrough on Reddit and when I finished I said that I think this is one of the greatest games that I have ever played of all time if not the actual greatest game I have ever played of all time and it's true and I still feel that way 16 days later.

Nothing else has come even close to fulfilling me the way this game did.

I played God of War: Ragnarok and I loved it and I thought it was an amazing game but it didn't do for me what Alan Wake 2 did.

I started playing Borderlands 4 and I am one of the biggest Borderlands fans on the planet and even that couldn't satisfy me.

Ever since that game I have been trying to find other games that are similar to it but there just aren't. There's so many games of that genre of course but what other game can you play that literally has a freaking musical with the real life voice actors playing themselves as the video game version of yourself walks through a dark room with video screens of those live actors playing the characters while you fight hordes of evil enemies? I mean truly it's just incredible beyond words. Not to mention the story was just freaking great.

I said to myself the day that I beat this game and closed it for the final time that I would not find anything better or close enough to satisfy me and it's been 16 long days and I have yet to find anything.

I kind of want to replay it again but I've done everything in the game that there is to do and I know it won't be as magical the second time around as it was the first which sucks.

It's really eating away at me. I know a 3rd Alan Wake game won't be for a long, long, LONG time, and for good reason because they are obviously going to want to take their time on it and make it just as good if not better than the second one, though I don't see how they'll be able to top the second one let's be honest, but, man I would love something new from the Alan Wake world even if it's just like a little miniature mini game or something.

I wish I had waited a little bit longer to play this game until it was closer for the third game to come out because the wait is going to absolutely kill me. 😮‍💨
