Guilt-Tripping by Credit Card Agent

A credit card agent reached out to me online. I initially showed interest. I was able to provide some personal information. He said he will apply me to other banks, that gave me suspicion so I told him I wanted to withdraw. He said he had already forwarded the application. But I never signed anything.

A bank later contacted me, and I clarified that I did not personally apply or I did not sign any application form.

Now the agent is guilt-tripping me, saying he lost his job because of me.

I did not reply or engage anymore. Am I doing right?
