Wars that had severe impact on environment

The Vietnam War had significant detrimental impact on the environment and was impacted massively by its terrain as well. I wish to read more about wars that have impacted the ecology and environment in a massive way. Were there new environmental laws set to prevent this or just about anything regarding war and large-scale impact on environment. Thank you.
