Sub drop

I have never had a sub that wasn't just sessions and random sends till now. My owned sub is feeling sub drop the last couple of days. He said this is his pattern...hot and then kinda depressed. Then horny for the hot again. I am unsure of how to help not having experienced this before. Any thoughts, ideas or insights would be appreciated.
