Seeking Advice on Emotionally Coping with WFA - Maybe just Venting??
Hi there.
As the title says, I am seeking advice on learning how to cope with WFA.
My head is so riddled with stress and I can’t sleep or eat. My partner isn’t working. I live in an expensive metropolis. I’m five years into my career.
And I’m so stressed and angry. I’m angry because this is the second time that the branch has sought to remove me from my role. I can’t go into details but it was due to a reorganization and I know my boss doesn’t favour me the way they did their prior.
I know I’m not the only one going through this and that it’s happening all over the place to many amazing staffers. I know we’re all stressed and are engulfed in this chaos.
But I’m so type A about my future and life. I don’t know if I’ll go back and get my masters. I don’t know if I will try stick it out for 1 full year. I don’t know how to be ‘normal’ because I’m 1 of 6 who got a notice. I don’t know how to show up to work and smile at my execs that I work with every day as they pretend everything is normal and ask me what I plan to do for the holidays.
I don’t know how to navigate these feelings and I feel like I’m drowning. I’d love advice. No EAP, please 😝🙂↔️
